BAGLIO BORGESATI

Traditions are passed down and preserved across generations, whereas habits are constantly changing and innovating with the passing of time. This same surmise applies to the restyling of the interiors of the ancient Baglio, in the Belice Valley in Sicily. Originally a feudal complex covering a vast estate that provided wealth for the aristocrats and the bourgeoisie of the time, it was a thriving geo-economic community designed for the needs and customs of its era.

In this project, the planimetric layout and decorative elements of the epoch become the basis for the reuse of the spaces as reception halls (Sala degli Archi, Sala Delle Capriate, Villa Leonardo). The result is classic yet timeless modern functionality and mood, where the building’s strong personality shines through, creating warm, elegant ambiances that exude wellbeing and comfort from every corner. Arches, Corten elements, wooden beams, furnishings, colour, lighting, curtains and decorative objects are harmoniously fused together giving the rooms a welcoming and fascinating atmosphere.
